The Never Ending Work Week....

Since the store opened last week, my life has been crazy busy! I've practically been living at the store trying to make sure it's up and running the way I want it to be.  In a perfect world, it would run smoothly with no issues, but unfortunately, I don't live in that world. Everyday we're tackling something new.  Yeah, story of my life.  Sighhh......

Here's a glimpse of my life last week working in the new shop and in what I call "my new office."  Ha!

It's getting chilly in New York, time to pull out my sweaters! Here I am rocking Jae Basilio! I LOVE my Dolce Vita sandals, who happens to also be one of my neighbors-yaaaay!!! I know I'm going to be doing lots of damage in that shop.

10:45AM:Look at this HOT MESS!  We had to open and sort through 21 boxes of candles.  I hate doing inventory count!
2PM, met with Mayra to reorder jewelry for the shop.  I LOVE her stuff.  It's suuuper cute!
7PM, in the YUMI KIM shop catching up on emails. 

Wow, the first week flew by! Thank goodness there were no major issues...whew!  I had a great time working in the shop and meeting my neighbors. It's been such a great learning experience for me.  I have to say, it helped inspire me to design my Summer 09 in a different way now that I'm spending a lot of time in the L.E.S. I LOVE being in the Lower East Side!  You ladies rock and are so fashionable!

KICK OFF SHOPPING EVENT

I wanted to dress cute and comfy for the event.  My outfit...

10:30AM- I got in new fabric strike-offs of potential Summer 09 prints.  Here I am draping it over me trying to visualize it as a long maxi dress.  This is usually how I decide if I want to move forward with a print for my collection.  "Hmmm, is this too much?  Do I like how it looks as a dress?"

By the end of the night I had a nice surprise!  My old friend Benjy stopped by my new shop.  I used to work with him back in the Arista Records days. Wow, I can't believe it's been almost 5years! Congrats, Benj! I'm so proud & happy for you!!! Don't forget us little people when I see all those Platinum Records on your wall!
